How to connect to your email

Have you just started hosting with us? You’ll probably need to connect to your emails. Here’s how:

1 Choose your email system:

iPhone

  1. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
  2. Tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, email address, password, and a description for your account. These will be sent to you via email.
  4. Choose IMAP for your new account.
  5. Enter the information for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server.  These will be sent to you via email.
  6. Tap [Save] to finish

Gmail (free Google account)

  1. Go to the settings icon (cog on top right hand side of Gmail)
  2. Click “Settings”
  3. Click the “Accounts and Import” tab
  4. Click the “Add another email address”
  5. Enter your Name.
  6. Enter your email address e.g. fred@webwarriors.com.au
  7. Click [Next Step]
  8. Enter the SMTP Server details, username and password: ** these will be sent to you via email **
  9. Click [Add Account]
  10. A verification key will need to be entered. If you don’t already have access to your email address then please call us for this.
    As soon as the verification key is entered your email will be set up.

Gmail (paid Google account)

  1. Go to the settings icon (cog on top right hand side of Gmail)
  2. Click “Settings”
  3. Click the Accounts tab
  4. Click the link “Add an email account”
  5. Enter your email address e.g. fred@webwarriors.com.au
  6. Click [Next Step]
  7. Enter:
    Username: ** this will be the same as your email address **
    Password: ** this will be given to you when your hosting is set up **
  8. Tick “Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server.”
  9. Tick “Label incoming messages:”
  10. Click [Add Account]
  11. Click [Next Step]
  12. Click [Next Step]
  13. Enter the Username and Password above for the “Send emails through SMTP server”
  14. Click [Add Account]
  15. A verification key will need to be entered. Please call us for this.
    As soon as the verification key is entered your email will be set up.

Windows Mail

  1. Open Windows Mail.
  2. Click the “Accounts” link in the top left of the screen.
  3. Click the “+ Add account” on the right hand panel.
  4. Scroll down to “Advanced setup” and click it.
  5. Click the “Internet Email” link.
  6. In the settings:
    1. Email address: Enter the email address that you’re connecting to, e.g. fred@webwarriors.com.au
    2. Username: Use the email address above.
    3. Password: Enter the password that was sent to your for this email account.
    4. Account Name: Enter your own name, e.g. Fred Smith or the name of the person this email account is for, e.g. Web Warriors Support
    5. Send your messages using this name: Use the same name as above.
    6. Incoming email server: Use the email server that was emailed to you.
    7. Account type: IMAP
    8. Outgoing (SMTP) email server: Use the email server that was emailed to you.
    9. Click [Sign In].
